Description

Managed by experienced healthcare professionals, together with volunteers, the team helps to improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer by providing information and support to cancer patients, families, friends, carers and hospital staff. This includes benefits and financial advice, Signposting as appropriate, referral to Clinical Psychologist and practical advice. We're also here to listen to you and discuss how cancer is affecting your life. You can talk to us confidentially in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. People newly diagnosed with cancer and their relatives or carers are invited to our monthly online health and Emotional support events for advice on dealing with physical and emotional effects of cancer. Where they will be given information about nutrition, dealing with fatigue, cancer treatments, and financial advice about benefit schemes. Throughout the year we offer regular health and lifestyle self-management programmes (HOPE) to support people after cancer treatment.
